WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DOES SUPERBLOOM WELLNESS TAKE?

When booking an appointment, a credit card number will be required. After the completion of the appointment, the credit card will be charged the appropriate amount.
WHAT IS A REGISTERED DIETITIAN?
A Registered Dietitian is a health professional who specializes in food and nutrition. The term "dietitian" is protected and regulated in Canada. That means that all dietitians in Canada have completed a certain standard of requirements, which include a degree in nutrition, the completion of a dietetic internship, the passing of a national exam, and registration with their provincial dietetic regulatory body.
WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER DIETITIAN SERVICES?
Many people do have coverage for dietitians through their extended health benefits. Please reach out to your insurance provider to determine if you have coverage.
Additionally, the Canadian Revenue Agency recognizes Registered Dietitians as ‘Authorized Medical Practitioners’ and therefore you can claim the fees paid to a Registered Dietitian as a medical expense/credit on your Canadian Income Tax return.
WILL SUPERBLOOM WELLNESS HELP ME LOSE WEIGHT?
Through nutrition treatment, there are only three options when it comes to weight.
You can lose weight.
You can gain weight.
You can stay the same weight.
Superbloom Wellness focuses on health behaviors that we can actually CONTROL. We cannot directly control our weight as there are so many factors that can influence our weight, including genetics, age, sex, medications, the gut microbiome, our nutrition, how much movement we get, our metabolism, our mental health, our income, our access to healthcare, our access to groceries, and so much more. Also, weight is not a great indicator of health. We can be at a higher weight and be perfectly healthy or we can be at a lower weight and be unhealthy. Here at Superbloom Wellness we go beyond a focus on just weight. Health is about so much more.
*Please note that weight gain goals may apply to those with eating disorders who require weight restoration*
