Meet the Practicum Students
Master's Level Counselling Psychology Students offering Affordable Therapy at
$50 per 50-minute session.

​ Alison is a Registered Social Worker with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers. She is currently completing her Master's degree in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. Alison has 18 years of professional experience supporting children, youth, adults, and families. Alison's years of counselling experience have involved treating individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship problems, and more. Alison is passionate about providing a safe and caring space for clients to engage in inner work. She operates from a client-centred, holistic, humanistic approach with the philosophy that the client is the expert in their life.
Alison uses a number of modalities to create individualized change with each client, including solution-focused and strengths-based approaches, mindfulness and experential practices, and cognitive-behavioural theory, among others. She is able to use a variety of experiential, behavioural, and cognitive techniques in order to enhance interpersonal relationships and intrapersonal understanding.
Topics/Concerns that she works with: abuse, anger, anxiety, communication problems, depression, fears and phobias, feeling stuck, grief and loss, identity, life transitions, loneliness, people-pleasing, perfectionism, self-esteem and confidence, social functioning, stress, trauma and PTSD, troubling thoughts and feelings, and work-life balance.

Pay What You Can Program: From July 1st to August 15th those with limited income and a lack of extended health benefits can book sessions with Alison, starting at just $10.
