WHO AM I?

I am:

  • A Registered Dietitian holding a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition,

  • A Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student,

  • A Registered Yoga Teacher,

  • A Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor,

  • A member of Dietitians of Canada and the Saskatchewan Dietitians Association

  • And most importantly, a deeply empathetic and perfectly imperfect human.

My education, values, and life experiences have led me to a dedicated clinical focus on disordered eating, intuitive eating, somatic nutrition, and the gut-brain connection. My approach combines aspects of nutritional science, somatic practices, body attunement, and mindfulness.

I practice from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and socially-just lens. I create a deeply empathetic, non-judgmental, and safe place for us to explore how to best nourish your mind, body, and heart.

A UNIQUE PHILOSOPHY

Superbloom Wellness combines the scientific foundation of nutrition with the complex realities of the emotional interrelationships between food, bodies, and our minds.

Explore your truth in a safe, supportive, and nurturing space.

WHO I SUPPORT

I support residents of Saskatchewan who are looking to connect to their bodies in a more holistic, embodied and attuned way. All services are delivered virtually – either over the phone or over secure video conferencing software.

DISORDERED EATING

Peace of Mind

I help to counsel my clients through medically stable eating disorders, body image issues, chronic dieting, disordered eating, compulsive body checking and exercise, and body dysmorphia. I also support those with psychological comorbidities such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD, or those with histories of trauma.

INTUITIVE EATING

Intuition

Intuitive eating is a philosophy of eating that builds increased connection and trust with food and your body without harsh judgments, restrictions, or unhealthy expectations.

SOMATIC NUTRITION

Attunement

Somatic nutrition counselling aims to repair our connection with our minds and bodies through the use of grounding exercises, mindfulness, and sensation awareness. This approach is best suited for those looking to increase body attunement and the mind-body connection.

GUT-BRAIN CONNECTION

Enhancement

The gut-brain connection is a two-way communication system between our nervous system and our digestive system. Through enhancing our digestive health and gut microbiome, we may potentially unlock the pinnacles of brain health.

NON-DIET NUTRITION

Sustainability

We know that diets have an extremely low success rate. In fact, studies are indicating that those who go on diets often end up gaining more weight in the long term. Not only are diets unsustainable, but let's face it, most people are miserable on them. We can still improve our health without being on a diet or having rigid food rules. Let me show you how.

EMOTIONAL EATING

Resilience

While food does help soothe difficult emotions, food will not address the root cause of the
emotion. Once we find other ways to cope with our emotions, we are more able to choose between a wider range of coping mechanisms rather than solely relying on food.

BIPOC NUTRITION

Inclusivity

Food connects us to our roots and our culture. Here at Superbloom, we support people of all backgrounds and we will always suggest integrating cultural foods or traditions rather than sacrificing them.
